Brando's tales.
I’ve known Brando for a while now. The first time I saw him was at the pier in Lido di Camaiore, the sea was very rough but despite this he seemed at ease in the waves, in an unusual and strangely natural way.

Of all the times I’ve seen him in the water, I think that’s the only time I never took a photo of him. Of the first shots I took of him, I never published one, before doing so I wanted to get to know him and I had the opportunity to do so during the sessions in the water with Gianmarco, a mutual friend and one of his mentors.

Over time we formed a strong bond that led me to take some of my most beautiful photographs together with him. Definitely the ones I care about most. My growth path within surfing is closely linked to that of Brando, with whom I shared many storms and many days when the sea was really bad. Even though the waves were terrible, his talent always emerged and this allowed me to forge my own style and take unique photographs. Besides obviously having a lot of fun.

Billabong has been Brando’s sponsor for almost his entire career and this has allowed me to work together with them and obtain prestigious publications.
