2014-2024
Marcello Zani, Sequoia Surfboards main shaper and founder, comes from a land worldy renowned for having given birth to several design masters. Former professional driver and now surfboard designer, Marcello follows his dream to become the first italian shaper to have an italian surfboard in the CT.
I started collaborating with Sequoia thanks to Marco Morini, one of the most talented surfers in Versilia and local of the Forte dei Marmi pier
In 2021 Sequoia was the protagonist of the first real Tuttologicsurf project. A journey that took us from Portugal to Italy, discovering the tradition and innovation of the brand in a mini documentary. The filming involved the former world championship surfer Marcelo Nunes and the young surfer of the Italian national team Diego Cordeiro
In 2024 the collaboration with Sequoia had its consecration. The “A Samba in Dakar” project was awarded at the Sony World Photography Awards, the most prestigious competition in the world, with third place in the sports professional category and with the selection among the 10 finalist projects nominated for the photographer of the year award.
